* Aina Lanas

Aina Lanas (Barcelona) is a dancer, choreographer and movement director. He has worked as an interpreter with: Kulbik, Jazzbetween, Africa Moment, Piny Orquidaceae, Núria Guiu or LaCerda. He has taught Urban Dances within the Higher Degree of Choreography at the Institut del Teatre and directs his own project: Cia Aina Lanas, from which he has directed pieces such as Aye-Nah, MAWU and Sosiego. She is part of the creative and production team of the improvisation house Si Los Martes Fueran Viernes, between Barcelona and Buenos Aires and has won the 'Best Ballerina' award at the 2023 Critics' Awards for the piece You are Not a Ghost.

Waack/Punk is a dance form created in LGBTIQ+ clubs in Los Angeles. During the disco era of the 70s and, thanks to its pioneers, it became popular through TV programs such as Soul Train or musical artists such as Diana Ross. Their more genuine and representative aesthetics and movements have a complex and vindictive cultural background. Throughout this session we will delve into its history and share practices on the most basic movements, understanding and recreating its vibrant and liberating essence.
